Min Requirements 1. Bachelor's degree required. 2. Min of 2yrs' experience working with financial aid in a collegeenvironment required. 3. Experience working with Banner Administrative Software is highly preferred. Critical functions TheDirector of Financial Aid provides management, leadership, and vision for the Financial Aid Office and its staff. The Director ensures thatFinancial Aid services are delivered in a timely manner, following regulatory compliance and good stewardship of institutional, private,federal, and state financial aid funds. It is expected that this position effectively collaborate and consult with students,parents/families, faculty, staff, and other constituents of the College. Administer and award financial assistance funds fromfederal, state, and institutional sources to ensure consistency, efficiency, and appropriate use of funds to achieve institutional goals Interpret and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and assist in development of institutional policies andprocedures for the administration of financial assistance programs in conjunction with other departments as required Coordinate thestudent loan program and Veterans Affairs assistance programs Supervise the timely completion and submission of external andinternal reports (including, but not limited to, FISAP, PPA, ECAR, COD, NSLDS, IPEDS, program participation rates and trends, enrollmentmanagement reports, etc.) Provide supervision, mentoring, and training to ensure staff can achieve the organizational goals througha student-centered and service-oriented approach Resolve issues, problems, and potential conflicts related to student financial aid Provide counseling services pertaining to financial assistance for prospective students/families and current students/families Stay abreast of all federal, state, and institutional policies pertaining to the student Financial Aid Program and other studentservices areas Participate in seminars/workshops for professional development and ensure that staff are appropriately trained andexposed to opportunities for professional growth Coordinate the development and implementation of workshops and seminars forstudents and the community on the various types of financial aid available as well as financial literacy programs Utilize planningand evaluation techniques for areas of responsibilities Serve on various campus committees and represent Snead State CommunityCollege at both on and off-campus events Participate in college functions (College Goal Sunday, Parsons Days, Awards Day,Commencement, Alumni Homecoming, etc.) Assume other work related responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President for StudentServices KSAs Available to work flexible scheduling and travel as required Expertise to problem-solve and thinkstrategically Capacity to generate a spirit of teamwork and collaboration to support and promote student success Expertiseto develop and monitor departmental budgets Skilled in the application of Banner Administrative Software Highly organizedwith attention to detail Oriented toward teamwork and collegiality Possesses effective written and spoken communicationskills Possesses effective reading comprehension skills Utilizes effective stress management and coping mechanisms Skilled in Ms word, Microsoft excel, and PowerPoint Expertise to learn and perform essential job functions accurately withminimal direct supervision Application Procedures A complete application packet consists of
